Core Objectives:
Collaborative Synergy: Develop a proactive forum for research coordination, resource mobilization (human and material), technology transfer (TT) and collective community services to expedite regional development.
Strategic Voice:
Facilitate community-minded member institutions to collaboratively resolve vital regional developmental and consolidate their voice on regional and federal policy tables.
Legal Status: FHEIAR is a non-profit, non-political civic organization registered in accordance with the state Charities and Societies Registration and Administration Proclamation No. 194/2012, Art.63(1).
Initial Certification: 8 April, 2014.
Renewal Certification Status: To be renewed in every three Years, in accordance with the state Charitable and Societies Registration and Administration rules.
Key Milestones & Achievements
1 - Emergency & Crisis Response: During the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent regional disruptions, FHEIAR mobilized dedicated task forces for rapid problem analysis, solution generation, and direct community support.
2 - Agricultural Transformation & Mechanization:
# Expanded summer irrigation farming for key staples, including wheat and barley.
# Modernized regional agriculture by organizing farmers into production clusters and introducing mechanized tractor-based farming.
# Managed farm-led seed multiplication initiatives to boost crop yields.
3 - Capacity Building & Human Capital Development: Established partnerships that enabled member institutions to attain high education scholarship funds at all levels of regional civil service, promoting local governance skills and knowledge.
4 - Policy & Strategic Governance: Engaged senior experts to develop principal policy documents regarding regional socio-economic and political issues for providing science-based policy options on regional conflicts and subsequent development efforts.
5 - Demand-Driven Applied Research: Facilitated forum-based joint research initiatives relevant to demand-oriented regional bureau priorities, achieving four successfully completed reports with evidence-based empirical solutions.
6 - Educational Quality & Infrastructure Development:
# Partnered with regional Department of Education to improve the quality of regional educational institutions through teacher training, academic coaches, enhancement of digital library system, provision of teaching aids.
# Initiating and implementing construction of boarding schools and local community schools to upgrade academic achievement.
7 - Public Health Strengthening: Conducted applied public health research to inform policy and practice, including studies on communicable and non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, nutrition, mental health, and environmental health risks. Provided essential medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and health center furnishings while facilitating clinical trials, internships, and joint medical research with regional referral hospitals.
8 - Humanitarian Assistance & Deficiency Management: Built front-line regional office with a strategic presence for the refugee conflict, raising awareness and increasing mobilization of resources for targeted humanitarian action with partner agencies.
